Corporate and relocation short stays in downtown Seattle

For project teams, new hires and relocating families who need a furnished base for a few nights to a few months, a 2-bedroom apartment in downtown Seattle combines a short commute with a kitchen, laundry and space to work. Our three apartments at 1400 Hubbell Place are in one building, a 3-minute walk from the Seattle Convention Center and about 7 minutes from Westlake light rail, with written payment and cancellation terms and an itemized checkout.

When a furnished apartment beats a hotel

Hotels suit a solo two-night trip. For longer or shared stays, many companies look at furnished apartments:

  • Project teams of two to six people working on site for a week or more.
  • New hires who start before their own lease begins.
  • Relocating employees and families house-hunting in Seattle.
  • Interns and contractors on a fixed-length placement.
  • Event and trade-show staff working a convention at the Seattle Convention Center.

Each of these needs a bed, a kitchen, laundry and a place to work, and benefits from a single booking and a single invoice.

What to check before you book

  • Commute. Map the trip to the office at rush hour, not just the distance.
  • Written terms. Payment schedule, cancellation, deposit and house rules should be in writing before you pay. Ours are on the policies page.
  • Licensing. In Seattle, short-term rental operators need a city license. Our three license numbers are in every page footer.
  • Work set-up. A table and Wi-Fi in a separate room from where others sleep.
  • Laundry. For stays over a few nights, in-unit laundry saves time. Every one of our apartments has an in-unit washer & dryer.
  • Parking. Downtown parking is limited; see our parking guide.

Getting around from downtown

Our building at 1400 Hubbell Place is about a 7-minute walk from Westlake Station, where Link light rail runs:

  • South to Sea-Tac Airport: Sound Transit quotes 38 minutes airport to downtown, with no transfer. See our airport guide.
  • North toward Capitol Hill, the University of Washington and beyond on the 1 Line.

The Seattle Center Monorail also leaves from Westlake Center for Seattle Center, a ride of about 2 minutes per the monorail's FAQ. Within downtown, most offices, the Convention Center and the shopping core around Pine and Pike are on foot.

Our apartments for teams

All three are furnished two-bedroom apartments in the same downtown Seattle building, professionally cleaned after every stay, with a front-desk concierge and an on-site building manager:

  • The Top-Floor 2BR: sleeps 5, dedicated workspace, top floor with skyline views, portable air conditioning, self check-in.
  • The Two-Bath 2BR: sleeps 6, two full bathrooms, the best fit for colleagues who are not sharing a room.
  • The Lumière 2BR: sleeps 6, round table that seats four, which works as a team desk.

Booking all three gives a team of up to 17 people one building, one point of contact and three kitchens.

Relocating to Seattle

If you are moving to Seattle, a few weeks downtown gives you a base to view neighborhoods. Light rail from Westlake reaches Capitol Hill, the U District and Northgate to the north, and south toward the airport; the walk to Pike Place Market and Capitol Hill gives a first feel for the city. On wet weekends, see rainy-day Seattle.
