Spend day 1 on Pike Place Market, the waterfront and the Seattle Art Museum; day 2 at Seattle Center (the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass and MoPOP) via the monorail from Westlake Center; and day 3 in Pioneer Square and the Chinatown-International District, finishing with dinner on Capitol Hill. Before you start
Arrive on the Link 1 Line from the airport; Sound Transit quotes 38 minutes from SeaTac/Airport Station to downtown. Get off at Westlake, then it is about a 7-minute walk to our building at 1400 Hubbell Place. Our airport light rail guide has the details. Attraction hours change by season, so check each official site the night before.
Day 1: Pike Place Market and the waterfront
- Morning: Pike Place Market. Walk west down Pike Street, about 15 minutes, and arrive early; produce, seafood and breakfast start at 7 a.m., per the market. Breakfast at the market, or at Le Pichet or Café Campagne.

FAQ
Is 3 days enough for Seattle?
Three days covers the core sights of downtown, the waterfront, Seattle Center and Pioneer Square comfortably. Add a day if you want the Museum of Flight or a trip across the water.
Do I need a car for this itinerary?
No. Every stop is reachable on foot, by the Seattle Center Monorail or by Link light rail. A car is mostly a parking cost downtown.
What if it rains?
Swap outdoor stops for museums: SAM, MoPOP, the Aquarium and the Central Library are all indoors. See our rainy-day guide.
How do I get from the airport to downtown?
Take the Link 1 Line from SeaTac/Airport Station to Westlake. Sound Transit quotes 38 minutes between the airport and downtown.
Can I fit this around a convention?
Yes. Each day's anchor is within about 15 minutes of the Convention Center, so you can do a morning or an evening of it around sessions.
