ECCC 2027 at a glance

Emerald City Comic Con is Seattle's big spring pop-culture convention, run by ReedPop. The official site confirms ECCC 2027 runs March 4–7, 2027 at the Seattle Convention Center, with tickets on sale now. The four days bring comic creators, celebrity guests, panels, an artist alley, cosplay meetups and a large show floor.

Why stay within walking distance

ECCC is a four-day marathon. Fans who cosplay often change outfits between days, or even between morning and evening. Artists and exhibitors arrive early and leave late. Being a few minutes' walk from the doors means:

• You can go back to change, fix a prop or drop off purchases without losing your place in the day.
• You avoid parking at downtown garages that fill early on show days.
• Large props and costume pieces travel a short distance, not across town on a bus.

Our building at 1400 Hubbell Place is a 3-minute walk from both convention center buildings, by the walking times in our listings. The Paramount Theatre is around the corner and Westlake light rail station is about 7 minutes on foot.

Getting in from Sea-Tac

Link light rail is the simplest way in. Take the 1 Line from SeaTac/Airport Station to Westlake Station: Sound Transit quotes 38 minutes airport to downtown, with trains about every 8–10 minutes for most of the day. Sound Transit's adult fare is a flat one-way fare; check the current amount on its fares page. From Westlake, our apartments are about a 7-minute walk. Sharing an apartment with your crew

ECCC is a social event. Friend groups, cosplay groups and small exhibitor teams often want to stay together:

• The Two-Bath 2BR sleeps 6 with two full bathrooms, the best choice when several people are getting ready at once.
• The Lumière 2BR sleeps 6 and has a round table that seats four, handy for sorting sketch cards, prints or props.
• The Top-Floor 2BR sleeps 5 with skyline views and a dedicated workspace.

Every apartment has a full kitchen and an in-unit washer & dryer, which matters after four days of convention wear. Each is professionally cleaned after every stay. Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM; there is no luggage drop outside those times, so plan the first and last day around them.

March weather and rainy-day plans

Early March in Seattle is usually cool and wet, so bring a waterproof layer and something to cover costumes on the walk over. On the days before or after the show, our rainy-day Seattle guide lists indoor sights within walking distance or a short ride, such as the Seattle Central Library and the Seattle Art Museum. If the weather lifts, Pike Place Market is about a 15-minute walk.

Planning checklist

• Tickets first. Buy badges on the official ECCC site, then book where you stay.
• Book early. Downtown Seattle is very busy that weekend, and the official site promotes discounted partner hotels that sell through.
• Choose nights. Most attendees stay Wednesday March 3 or Thursday March 4 through Sunday March 7 or Monday March 8, 2027.
• Plan food. A kitchen means breakfast before the doors open and late snacks after evening events.
• Check the rules. ECCC publishes a cosplay and prop policy each year; read it before you pack.
